Join Wapakoneta at The Summer Moon Festival and celebrate our heritage with quality entertainment for all ages. The Summer Moon Festival is organized by the Festival Committee of the Wapakoneta Chamber of Commerce with participation of the Armstrong Air & Space Museum.

The festival activities will be held at two locations, Downtown Wapakoneta, on Auglaize Street and at the Armstrong Museum honoring the first man to walk on the Moon – Wapakoneta native, Neil Armstrong.

A special appearance will be made by NASA astronaut Don Thomas during Saturday’s 5K-10K Run to the Moon.

Also new this year is Chillin’ in the Parkway, a teen-only event with a DJ, free pizza and pop, a prize cube where teens can win great prizes, the Moon City Wipeout, and the Moon City Bull from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday in Heritage Parkway.
