Privacy and Cookies

This notice explains what the Chamber website collects, why it is used, and how necessary cookies support secure website functions.

Privacy and cookie notice

Last reviewed: August 12, 2026

At a glance

The public website does not use advertising cookies, cross-site behavioral tracking, or visitor-profile analytics. It uses limited first-party session and security cookies when needed to provide a requested feature safely. No cookie pop-up is shown because the current site does not load optional advertising or profiling cookies.

Information you choose to provide

When you submit an inquiry, application, registration, Member profile update, or website feedback report, we receive the information entered in that form and any allowed attachment. Forms identify their purpose and may include a more specific privacy notice and typical retention period. Please do not submit passwords or payment-card, bank, medical, Social Security, or similarly sensitive information unless a form explicitly requires it and explains how it will be handled.

Aggregate website measurement

If production analytics are enabled, the website records daily aggregate counts for approved activity such as page views, safe interactions, form openings, directory use, and sanitized not-found paths. It does not retain analytics cookies, visitor or session identifiers, IP addresses, user-agent strings, raw search phrases, form values, request messages, private attachment paths, or query strings. Analytics are used to improve content and navigation, not to build visitor profiles.

Necessary cookies

A cookie is a small value saved by a browser. The website may use these strictly necessary first-party cookies:

  • Session and form security: supports secure form submissions, request verification, temporary confirmation messages, and signed-in Admin sessions. It normally expires when the browser session ends.
  • Remembered Admin device: created only when a signed-in Admin chooses to remember that browser. It contains a revocable random token rather than the authenticator secret and expires after 30 days.

Browsers can block or delete cookies, but secure forms, verification links, and Admin login may not work correctly without the necessary session cookie.

Hosting logs and security

The hosting provider and application may process standard technical information needed to deliver and protect the service, diagnose failures, prevent abuse, and respond to security incidents. Access is limited to authorized operational purposes. The Chamber applies reasonable safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Service providers and external sites

The website may link to or intentionally open services operated by other organizations. Current or planned providers include TSC for hosting, Yodel for the community calendar, email-delivery services for notifications, and Stripe for hosted invoices and payments. Those providers handle information under their own notices and settings. The Chamber website does not receive or store full card or bank-account details from Stripe-hosted payment pages.

Retention and access

Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the stated Chamber purpose, operational records, legal obligations, dispute resolution, or security. Form-specific retention periods apply where displayed. Access is restricted according to staff responsibilities, and private attachments are kept outside the public website directory.

Your choices and questions

You may contact the Chamber to ask about information you submitted, request a reasonable correction, or raise a privacy concern. Some records may need to be retained for legal, financial, security, or operational reasons.

Changes to this notice

We will update this page when website practices or providers change and revise the review date above. Optional advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking tools will not be added without a separate privacy review and an appropriate visitor-choice mechanism.
